Just after 4pm a stabbing occurred at the entrance of the Central Station in Amsterdam. One person was brought to hospital with unknown injuries.
On Monday an attempt was made to blast an ATM in Berkel en Rodenrijs, north of Rotterdam. The machine was intact, according to the police. "It appears to be a failed ATM robbery. We are still investigating what happened."
Near the machine, the police found two cylinders filled with gas, which are standard tools of ATM robbers. There was no trace of the perpetrators. The police took action because the burglar alarm had gone off at that branch of ABN Amro.
The boy who is suspected by the police for placing the Leiden-shooting threat on the Internet didn’t place the message himself. His lawyer Rens Charité said this.

A stabbing at a house in Reek took the life of a woman from the North Brabant village. A 10-year-old son and daughter were also at the home. The boy was injured in the Sunday incident and taken to a hospital, though the girl was not physically harmed. The male occupant of the house was arrested, the police announced.
Late in the evening the seriously injured woman appeared at her neighbors' house appealing for help. Ambulance staff treated her upon arrival at the scene, but the help came to no avail. The victim died on the spot.

On Thursday night, someone shot at one of the trains of the transportation company Arriva while it was on the route between Arnhem and Winterswijk near Wehl. This was reported by Omroep Gelderland. A window pane was damaged but nobody was injured.

The animal authorities arrested two women from Rotterdam on Thursday on suspicion of neglecting 29 horses. This was announced by the police.
