At the Palace of Justice in Den Bosch a so called powder letter was received on Wednesday. Which substance was in the letter, is not yet clear. The letter is now at the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) for investigation. Police are investigating where the letter came from and who sent it.

The Palace of Justice was not evacuated and all sessions could continue.

There is sufficient evidence to assume that Evedasto Lifante, the former owner of Murcia volleyball club CAV, has played a role in the murder of volleyball star Ingrid Visser and her partner Louis Severein.

This was announced by the court in Molina de Segura on Wednesday. The two Dutch were probably killed on May 14, in a remote villa in the vicinity of the southern Spanish city.

Two women were arrested at Schiphol, trying to smuggle a large sum of money abroad. They had 300,000 euro in cash hidden in their underwear. This was reported by the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) on Wednesday.

The women were on their way to Brazil and were caught during a security check. The IRS has confiscated the money. The smugglers have been arrested. Pending the investigation, the IRS will not disclose the nationality of the women. The two were arrested, among other, on suspicion of money laundering.

An 8-year-old boy was beaten and kicked by a cyclist because the kid had made him wet with a water pistol on Monday in Hattem. The offender cycled away and has not been found. That was reported by the police on Tuesday.

The boy had sprayed water to a man and a woman who were cycling . The 'victims' stopped and spoke to the child. Then the man gave the boy a few blows and kicks. After the 'punishment' they rode away.

The IRS keeps on chasing soccer icon Ruud Gullit. Having found out previously that the former footballer didn’t pay his tax over 2010 they now also found out he didn’t pay the tax over 2011. The tax authorities imposed immediately a second seizure on his premises. This could be read at Bekendeburen.nl.

According to the website, the IRS wants to put, by this action, pressure on Gullit. Because of the seizure of his houses, the IRS can now anytime sell them at an auction.

Diplomats who don’t pay their traffic and parking fines should not be able to keep their CD registration. This is a plea of CDA MP Peter Omtzigt and The Hague councilor Cees Flitter (CDA). It is according to the CDA politicians the best solution to force the diplomats to pay their fines, reported the AD.

In 2012, in The Hague, a total of 1095 parking tickets were issued to the holder of a car with CD number plates. In 454 cases only, the penalty was paid. There is still an open amount of 40,000 euro.

Tempers rose high in the nightlife and the homely atmosphere, this weekend. The police reported on Sunday a large number of incidents across the country.

Two people were wounded in a conflict in a festival tent in Wildervank, including one of the quarrelers, but also a 37-year-old man from Stadskanaal who wanted to appease the situation. In Leeuwarden, a 19-year-old boy hit several people. Why he did so, is not clear. He opposed to his arrest and went hand coughed to the hospital.

Prostitution boats at the Utrecht Zandpad  have to close on Thirsday. Window Operator Wegra had asked the court in Utrecht to come back on the decision of the municipality to close the boats. However, the administrative judge rejected that request.

The boats have to be closed on Thursday morning at 9:00am because Wegra would be involved in human trafficking. For the same reason Utrecht closed previously boats of two other operators.

The closure of the boats puts 200 women out of a job. At Wegra about 28 jobs are at risk.

At a cemetery in Borne, Twente,  17 graves have been destroyed. The police reported this on Wednesday.

A day earlier a witness reported that there was someone stealing items from the graves. The police could not find the man, but research showed on Wednesday that there were 17 graves damaged. Presumably, copper and bronze statues were stolen from these graves.

Many fruits growers do not follow the rules. This announces the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVW) after the annual audit at 100 of the 3200 growers.

About a third of the growers used banned substances to protect their crops against insects and diseases. Also is their administration often not in order.

Three of the seven famous paintings, which were stolen from the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, were burned, says the leader of the Romanian researchers, Gheorghe Niculescu, who investigated  the whereabouts of the art works. “We have found convincing evidence that three paintings were destroyed by fire,” Niculescu said on Monday about the police investigation.

Four Dutch who were engaged in making a documentary about homosexuality in Russia, have been arrested on suspicion of gay propaganda. This was reported by the NOS. Today the four face the court. They get support from the staff of the Dutch consulate.

The prosecution demands a fine for the four. The Dutch were arrested at a festival in Murmansk, near the border with Finland. One of the arrested is Kris van der Veen, councilor for GroenLinks in Groningen.

A sailing out pilot has found 200 kilos of cocaine in the Westerschelde (Zeeland). The drugs were packed into ten sports bags which were attached with ropes to empty jerrycans, to keep them afloat. This was reported by the National Office of the Public Prosecution (OM) on Tuesday.

The discovery was done on ​​Saturday morning. The drug packages floated in the Westerschelde near Vlissingen. According to the OM, the cocaine has a market value of about 7 million euro.
