One hurt in Rotterdam shooting; 4 arrested

The Rotterdam police arrested four men in connection with a shooting on Geuzenlaan in which one person may have been hurt. Investigators are looking for witnesses.

The shooting happened late on Sunday night. Occupants of one car opened fire on another vehicle. "One passenger was very likely injured and taken to hospital by other occupants" of the second car, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.

The police tracked down the car containing the alleged shooters on Zuid at around 00:15 a.m., thanks to a tip about its license plate. Police officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the four men inside it.

The investigation is ongoing. So far, nothing is known about a possible motive.
