Covid infected Dutch tourists fled quarantine in Spain; Authorities furious

The authorities in Spain are looking for a group of 14 Dutch tourists. They were supposed to quarantine in their accommodation after some of them tested positive for the coronavirus. But they fled, NOS reports.

The group was staying in a country house in the village of Vas del Madrono in the west of Spain. One of them became ill and tested positive for the coronavirus. After that, all of them got tested, and five others also got positive results.

When health officials checked on them this week, they found that the Dutch tourists had fled quarantine.

The local authorities issued an international warrant for their detainment. The village mayor called the Dutch tourists' flight a surreal crime.
