Country's coronavirus vaccines to be stored in Oss
A logistics firm specialized in healthcare distribution was tapped by the Ministry of Health to be the strategic storage facility for the company's stockpile of coronavirus vaccines, beginning with the first shipment of the Pfizer/BioNTech product expected to be delivered by the end of the year.
The firm, Movianto, is based in Oss, Noord-Brabant. "Movianto is a highly qualified logistics company specializing in storage and transport of medicines," the Municipality of Oss said in a statement.
It said the company was well-prepared for the task due to its past experience in orchestrating the annual distribution and transportation of the flu vaccine. The firm is based at the Vorstengrafdonk industrial park in the city.
If the vaccine is approved by European authorities early next week, vaccinations will begin in the Netherlands on January 8.
