Man shot dead in Rotterdam; Witnesses sought

A man was shot dead on Parellelweg in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening. The police are looking for witnesses.

Passersby found the seriously hurt man in a parked car at around 9:00 p.m. and alerted the emergency services. Attempts to resuscitate the victim were to no avail. The man died at the scene.

The police released no details about the man's identity.

A forensic investigation was done at the scene. The police are looking to speak to anyone who noticed anything out of the ordinary in the area between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. People who may have surveillance camera footage of the street are also called upon to come forward.
