First snowfall of the season in Heerlen, Kerkrade
The first_snow of the season fell in Heerlen and Kerkrade, among others, at around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, according to Weeronline. As the snow was combined with rain, it didn't turn the landscape white and did not cause icy road problems. No more snow is expected in the coming days.
The last time snow fell in the Netherlands was on May 4th in Limburg. Last year the first snowfall of the season happened on November 20th in Emmen and Terr Apel.
Monday morning will see light rain in many parts of the Netherlands. Afternoon temperatures will range from 3 degrees in the south of Limburg to 8 degrees in the northwest of the country - too mild for snow. Tuesday will see showers, but with afternoon temperatures around 8 degrees expected, no snow. After that there will be two cold nights with a chance of frost. But as these nights are expected to remain dry, also no snow.
