Dutch mother killed, daughters seriously injured in car wreck

A Dutch woman was killed in a traffic accident in Lavaux-Sainte-Anne, in the south of Belgium, on Wednesday afternoon. Her two daughters were seriously injured and are in critical condition, AD reports.

The accident happened at around 4:45 p.m. The woman's passenger car was hit by a truck at a crossing. According to the local authorities, the woman did not give the truck priority. The truck driver was not speeding and was not under the influence of alcohol.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs could provide no information on the victim's identity on Thursday, according to the newspaper.
