Rottweiler off-leash bites three kids; Dog walker runs away
The police are looking for a young woman whose rottweiler bit three young children in Nieuwegein on Sunday afternoon. After the incident, the woman leashed her dog and ran away, without leaving her details.
According to the police, the woman was walking her rottweiler off-leash in an area of Oudegein park where off-leash walking is allowed at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. She came across another woman, walking there with three children between the ages of 3 and 6 years. The dog bit one of the kids, and when the other two started screaming, bit them too. The children had to be treated by a doctor for the dog bites, the police said.
After the incident, the woman leashed her dog and ran towards the Fokkesteeg district in Nieuwegein, without leaving her contact information. The police are looking for this woman or witnesses to the incident. The woman has long, dark blond and straight hair. She was walking a dark-colored rottweiler.
