Man, 38, killed in Hague stabbing, teenager arrested
A 38-year-old man died after being stabbed on Jacob Schorerlaan in The Hague on Thursday afternoon. A 17-year-old boy was arrested as a suspect.
The police responded to the street at around 1:30 p.m., after multiple reports of a stabbing. At the scene they found the critically injured man. First responders provided aid on the street and the man was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested a short time later. He is in custody while the police investigate his possible involvement in the stabbing. Investigators are looking for witnesses.
So far the police cannot say anything about the motive for the attack and whether the boy and man knew each other. A neighbor told Omroep West that the victim and suspect lived across the street from each other and got into a fight. He saw the stabbing through his window. "I heard shouting, it was like a movie", the neighbor said.
