Tottenham players woken by early morning firework show, courtesy of Ajax fans
Ajax fans made sure that the Tottenham Hotspur team did not get a good night's sleep by waking them at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday with a firework show. The Amsterdam supporters posted a video on Twitter showing them lighting fireworks at the Van der Valk Hotel in Amsterdam Zuid, where the English team spent the night.
Ajax is facing off against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night for a place in the Champions League final. The Amsterdam team won the first semi-final match against Tottenham 1-0 in London last week.

This is not the first time Ajax fans "welcomed" an opposing team to Amsterdam with an early morning firework show on match day. They did the same to Juventus during the Champions League quarterfinals last month, also at the Van der Valk Hotel, and to Real Madrid at the Okura Hotel in February.
Disrupting the opposing team's sleep had mixed results in the past. Ajax lost the match against Real Madrid in February 1-2, and the Juventus match ended in a 1-1 draw.
