Strong winds causing delays, cancellations at Schiphol

Schiphol Airport is struggling under the weather conditions on Monday. Strong winds are causing flight delays and cancelations, the airport warned on Twitter.

As of 10:15 a.m. Schiphol reported 35 departure cancelations trough 4.45 p.m., and 108 departure delays through 2:00 p.m. A total of 37 arrivals have been canceled until 8:10 p.m. and, 210 have been delayed through 11:35 p.m.

Travelers are advised to check their flight status on the Schiphol site or app, or with their airline before leaving for the airport.

The other Dutch airports also report some delays, though whether this is due to the weather conditions is unclear. Eindhoven Airport reports two delayed arrivals and one delayed departure. Groningen has one departure delay, and two delayed arrivals. Rotterdam The Hague airport reports two delayed departures and three delayed arrivals.

The only aircraft into and out of Maastricht Aachen airport is still running on schedule in both directions.
