Body found under suspicious circumstances in Weert home

A man was found dead “under suspicious circumstances” in an apartment in Weert, Limburg during the early hours of Friday morning. The police went to the man’s home on Zilvermeeuw at around 2:30 a.m. after a report that he had not been seen for several days, the Telegraaf reports.

The police are investigating exactly how the man died. The home is closed down as a crime scene.

“The criminal investigation department is on site and forensic investigators also conducted investigations in the home”, the police said in a statement. “The man was found under suspicious circumstances, which is why the emergency service decided to start an investigation. More about those circumstances and other information, such as the man’s identity, will not be released at this moment.
