Explosives found in Rotterdam home

Explosives were found in a home on Donkerslootstraat in Rotterdam on Tuesday, the police said on Twitter. Four surrounding homes were evacuated while the Ministry of Defense's explosive disposal squad investigated.

The explosive experts removed the explosives from the home and safely disposed of them elsewhere.

The police searched the home following an explosive on Alberto Moraviahof in Rotterdam on Sunday night. Multiple cars were damaged in the explosion. A 36-year-old man was arrested.

A spokesperson for the police could not tell the Telegraaf what type of explosives were involved, only saying that they were not fireworks.
