Dutch criminal assassinated in Spain: report
A Dutch man was shot dead in the center of the Spanish resort of Torremolinos on Saturday evening. The victim is drug criminal Hamza Z., considered one of the main players in the drug war in Utrecht and surroundings, the Telegraaf reports.
The man was dining in a restaurant near the beach when a masked man entered the establishment and shot the Dutch man in the head and upper body. He died in hospital. The perpetrator fled in a white van. Witnesses told local media that the entire assassination took no more than two minutes.
According to the Telegraaf, Z. and a number of other criminals were in conflict with Ridouan T., who the Public Prosecutor believes ordered multiple assassinations in Amsterdam and Utrecht. T. is suspected of being behind the murder of Reduan B., brother of key witness Nabil B.
Earlier this month the police raided multiple locations in Nieuwegein, Utrecht, Tiel and Vianen. Seven men were arrested. According to the Telegraaf, this operation had to do with the underworld feud in Utrecht and the search for Ridouan T.
