Lost toddler found in Roosendaal; parents sought

A boy between the ages of 1 and 2 years was found wandering around in Roosendaal on Wednesday evening. The child has not yet been claimed and the police are looking for his parents.

Local residents found the toddler on Flintwijk shortly before midnight. He is possibly of Pakistani or Indian descent and has short black hair, the Roosendaal police said on Twitter. The child wore two earrings and was dressed in a black leather jacket from the brand River Island, jeans, black Adidas Velcro shoes and Cars socks. He had a blue-green pacifier attached to his clothes with a red and white cord with a pirate picture on it.

The police call on anyone who recognizes the boy's description to contact them. The boy was placed with a foster family for the time being. A picture of the child may be shared later, but the police hope that this will not be necessary.
