Tilburg station evacuated over bomb threat, 4 arrested
Tilburg station was evacuated on Sunday evening due to a bomb threat. Four men were arrested. They were sitting in a train on one of the station's platforms, the police said on Twitter. No explosive was found.
Members of a SWAT team assisted in the arrest of the four suspects. Explosive experts were deployed to the station to search for a bomb. They investigated a suitcase, but no explosive was found, according to ANP.
The train station was crowded on Sunday night, with people returning home from festival Decibel Outdoor in Hilvarenbeek. A number of people had to be taken from trains during the evacuation. Train traffic was halted around the city while the police investigated.
The police released the station shortly after midnight. NS reported that train traffic was running on schedule around 00:30 a.m.
