Three hurt in Eindhoven stabbing, five arrested

Three men were hurt in a quarrel and stabbing in a home on Bennekelstraat in Eindhoven on Saturday evening. Five men were arrested, including the three injured. Two of the injured men were still in hospital on Sunday, the police said in a statement.

The police responded to Bennekelstraat around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday after reports of a man walking out of the home and collapsing on the street. The man, a 36-year-old from Eindhoven, had multiple stab wounds. At the scene another two men, aged 56 and 57 years both from Heeze, were found with multiple cuts. All three victims were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Inside the home the police found the resident and another 56-year-old man from Eindhoven. They were both arrested. The three injured men were later arrested at the hospital. The 56-year-old injured man was discharged from hospital after treatment and was taken into custody. The other two injured are still in hospital.

The police are investigating exactly what happened in the home, and call on witnesses to come forward. Forensic specialists did an extensive investigation in and around the home on Sunday.
