Explosion at event hall in Oss

Residents of Berghemseweg in Oss were woken by an explosion at cafe hall 't Berghje during the early hours of Monday morning. The blow knocked out a number of windows, including those of an adjacent home. No one was injured, Omroep Brabant reports.

The police closed down the area around the event hall and are investigating. The police's explosive disposal team was also at the scene.

Witnesses told Omroep Brabant that people on a scooter threw an object at the event hall and then drove off at high speed. "It was a huge bang. The windows of the adjacent house is shattered. It looked like a hand grenade", one witness said.
