Missing woman, 44, found dead in wooded area in Soest

The body of Marloes Idzerda was found in a wooded area in Soest on Wednesday after two days of searching. The 44-year-old woman from Amersfoort disappeared on Sunday. 

Idzerda was last seen on Sunday. She was reported missing during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Her car was found on Oude Leusderweg in Soest on Sunday.

A large search was launched for the missing woman. Police officer on foot and on horses, helicopters, drones, veterans and Search & Rescued combed the wooded area on the border between Soest and Amersfoort for two days. Her body was found on Wednesday. Her family was informed.

According to the police, there are no indications that she was killed in a crime. "On behalf of the family and police, we want to say thank you for the efforts of volunteers and all offered help", the police said.
