Seriously injured man found in Schiedam hotel

A man was found seriously injured in a hotel on Nieuwlandplein in Schiedam during the early hours of Sunday morning. He was found in a hotel room with a wound in his neck, losing a lot of blood, at around 3:30 a.m. The police believe he was stabbed, NU.nl reports.

The Rotterdam police are investigating exactly what happened. So far no arrests were made.

This was the third violent incident in less than 24 hours in Schiedam. Earlier on Sunday two men from Latvia were arrested for assaulting a woman in the same hotel. Whether this assault is connected with the stabbing is not clear.

On Saturday morning two people were arrested for a stabbing on Von Lebnizstraat in which one person was injured.
