Police reconstruct fatal shooting at Amsterdam community center
The Amsterdam police will reconstruct, and film, a fatal shooting at a community center on Grote Wittenburgerstaat on Wednesday. Between 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. there will be police officers and actors in balaclava masks in the area Kleine Wittenburgerstraat for the reconstruction, Het Parool reports.
Mohammed Bouchikhi, 17, was shot and killed at the community center on January 26th. Two others were injured. Bouchikhi had no criminal record and it is believed that one of the two injured was the actual target of the attack. Gianni L. does have a criminal record and was targeted in another shooting a few months earlier.
The police informed victims, others involved and local residents about the reconstruction. The recordings of the reconstruction will be shown on television program Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday next week. On that day, June 12th, there will also be a Mobile Media Lab on Wittenburgerplein, where images of the case can be viewed and where people with information about this shooting can talk to police officers, according to the newspaper.
