Four No Surrender members arrested in Almere
Five people were arrested in Almere on Tuesday morning a major police action against drug trafficking. Four of the five detainees are members of outlaw motorcycle gang No Surrender, a police spokesperson confirmed to NU.nl.
The arrested No Surrender members are aged 23, 29, 30 and 42 years and all from Almere. The fifth suspect is a 46-year-old man from Hilversum and is not a member of the motorcycle gang.
This investigation started in January when a truck driver realized that there may be drugs hidden in his truck. The man left his truck in England and returned to the Netherlands by ferry. When arriving at the harbor of Hoek van Holland he saw four people waiting for him. He was scared and went to the Koninklijke Marechaussee, a policing force that works as part of the Dutch military. Since then, the trucker has been under police protection.
The trucker was right to be worried, as the British customs found cocaine in his truck. The police then launched an investigation, leading to the arrests on Tuesday.
