Explosion damages Den Bosch home

An explosion caused major damage to an apartment on Amsterdamstraat in Den Bosch during the early hours of Tuesday morning. The police believe someone left an explosive in front of the apartment's door, Omroep Brabant reports.

The explosion could be heard in large parts of Den Bosch around 2:00 a.m. It shattered the apartment's window, destroyed a rain pipe, and damaged the door.

No one was injured. The resident was watching TV on the other side of the apartment when the explosion happened. His dog was lying near the door, but also escaped unharmed.

The police are investigating.
