Ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins heading to Netherlands
American ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins is coming to the Netherlands. The first Dutch store will open late in April. Exactly where this store will be, will only be announced later, ANP reports.
A second and third Baskin-Robbins store will open before the end of the year. In the coming years the chain wants to expand to 10 to 15 stores in the Netherlands.
In addition to ice cream and milkshakes, the Baskin-Robbins stores will also sell ice cream cakes, hot drinks and pastries. The chain also wants to sell its products in Dutch supermarkets, according to the news wire.
Baskin-Robbins was founded in the Californian town of Glendale in 1945. The ice-cream chain is a sister company of Dunkin Donuts, which made a comeback in the Netherlands last year.
