Threat sends cops in bulletproof vests to Spijkenisse school
Police officers in bullet-proof vests were spotted at secondary school My College on Zinkseweg in Spijkenisse on Thursday. They are investigating a threat, according to NOS.
The students are still at the school and lessons are continuing as normal, the police said, according to ANP. A spokesperson would not give the news wire any further information about the incident.
RTV Rijnmond reports that a man from Hoogvliet threatened a female student at the school, possibly with weapons. The reason for the threat is unclear. A 17-year-old boy from Hoogvliet was arrested, NOS reporter Robert Bas said on Twitter
The police closed down all access roads to the school. The schoolyard is also closed, NOS reports.
