Almere shooting leaves man, 20, dead; Three in custody

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in an Almere home on Tuesday evening. He died in hospital. Three suspects were arrested, the police announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The shooting happened in a home on Kapitein de Langestraat around 9:20 p.m. Responding officers found the critically injured man unconscious in the home. He was rushed to hospital, where he later passed away.

Two suspects were arrested in the home. A third turned himself in at a police station later in the night. The suspects, aged 17, 19 and 20 all from Almere, are in custody while the police investigate their involvement in the incident.

A trace evidence investigation was done in the home. The police are speaking with those involved to find out exactly what happened.
