Police investigate Vlaardingen woman's death
A 64-year-old woman was found critically injured in her home on Churchillsingel in Vlaardingen on Monday night. She died in hospital later that night. The police launched a large-scale investigation into her death.
The police responded to the woman's home around 11:00 p.m. on Monday, after receiving a report that she was injured. The critically injured woman was rushed ot the hospital, where she died of her injuries, the police said in a statement on Wednesday.
A 64-year-old man who was in the home at the time, was arrested. The police are investigating whether he was involved in the woman's death. Whether the victim and suspect knew each other, was not revealed.
Twenty detectives are working on the case. They call on witnesses to come forward.
