Amber Alert cancelled: Deaf, autistic teen found near Schiedam

The police are desperately looking for 15-year-old Abdullah Mazmahor, who went missing in Schiedam on Friday. The teenage boy is deaf and autistic and needs his heart medication. He was last seen leaving Obrechtsraat in Schiedam around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, wearing a cream colored shirt. "Family and police are very worried, also because he left in the freezing cold without a coat", the police said in a statement.

Since Friday night, the police searched various places for Abdullah, including a number of cellar boxes, garden sheds and parks where he may be hiding. His description and photo was spread on social media and through Burgernet, unfortunately without result.

On Sunday afternoon the police issued an Amber Alert for the missing boy. There are no indications of a crime, but the police are very concerned about Abdullah's well-being as it's now been almost three days since he took his heart medication. By reaching more people with his description, the police hope to bring Abdullah home as soon as possible.

Abdullah has dark hair and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing a cream colored shirt with blue checkers and black sports shoes. The police ask that anyone with information about his whereabouts contact them at once.
