Tilburg man seriously injured in police chase

A 55-year-old man was seriously injured during a police chase on Rossinistraat in Tilburg on Wednesday night. It is believed he was hit by a car. The Tilburg man was rushed to the hospital, Omroep Brabant reports.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. The police were chasing another car on Rossinistraat when the man was hit. Whether he was hit by a police car, or by the other car is not yet clear. It is also possible that the man was in the fleeing car. "That scenario is also being investigated", the police said, according to the broadcaster.

The driver of the fleeing car sped away after the incident. The police know who the driver is.
