Maastricht shooting leaves one dead

One person was killed in a shooting in a home on Bosscherweg in Maastricht on Wednesday night, the police said on Twitter. The victim's identity is not yet known.

Local residents reported hearing bangs fro the home around 11:00 p.m., according to ANP. Responding officers found a wounded person in the home, who died despite first responders' aid.

The police closed down the area for investigation. No arrests were made as yet, a spokesperson said to the news wire.
