Father killed, son hurt in Heerenveen stabbing

Two men who were stabbed in their home in Heerenveen on Tuesday night are father and son. The 60-year-old father was killed, and his 29-year-old son was injured and rushed to the hospital, NU.nl reports.

The stabbing happened in a home on Woudsterweg. The older man died at the scene. The suspected perpetrator, a 30-year-old man from Drachten, was also injured in the altercation. He too was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged and is now in custody.

The relationship between the suspect and victims is still unclear. The police are also still investigating what led to this violent incident.
