The Judiciary is offering a reward of 20 thousand euros for the tip that leads to the arrests of the perpetrators who murdered Eindhoven man Johan van Boxtel early in May. The police are looking for two perpetrators, shown in surveillance camera footage on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday.

Van Boxtel wa on Memlincstraat in Eindhoven at around 4:30 a.m. on May 7th, just after he returned from a drive. Exactly what he was doing out so early on a Sunday morning, is unclear. Surveillance cameras did film his car in various places in Eindhoven between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. and he made a short stop at a caravan campground.

Surveillance camera footage show two men hiding in the bushes across the street from Van Boxtel's home about 10 minutes before he returned home. This seems to indicate that the two gunmen were tipped off about Van Boxtel's early morning drive and that the Eindhoven man might have been watched.

Van Boxtel parked the car in front of his house and got out. The two men walked towards him and opened fire. He died at the scene.

The motive for the assassination is still unclear. Van Boxtel  - he was convicted for attempted arson at a tanning salon in Oss - and the police believe he was involved in cannabis trade.
