Woman, 26, found killed in Almelo home

The body of a 26-year-old woman was found in a home on Waag in Almelo on Monday afternoon. The police believe she was killed in a crime. A 24-year-old man from Almelo was arrested after being taken to hospital to be treated for unknown injuries, Tubantia reports.

The police responded to the home around noon on Monday. An investigation is underway into how the woman was killed. So far the only details released about the victim were her age and that she comes from Almelo.

Witnesses told the newspaper that shortly after several police cars arrived at the scene, two ambulances also stopped in front of the home. A bleeding person was loaded into one of them and taken away. The wounded man was later arrested as a suspsect.
