Police chase leads to fatal car crash

A motorist was killed in a car accident while fleeing from the police in Limburg during the early hours of Monday morning, local news agency De Limburger reports. Why the police were chasing the suspect is unclear.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Gasthuis road between Bemelen and Sibbe. It seems the motorist lost control of the car and crashed into a tree.

The police are investigating the incident.
