Police struggle to identify woman found dead in Dutch lake
The police still have not been able to identify a woman whose body was found on the shore of the Veluwemeer on Sunday morning, though investigators are reasonably sure that she was killed in a crime, De Stentor reports.
A passerby found the body on the shore of the lake, halfway down Hardebosweg on the Flevoland side fo the Veluwemeer around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
"We are taking all information into account to get the picture as best as possible", a spokesperson for the police said to De Stentor. "The investigation is in progress and many detectives and specialists are working on it. We want to find the victim's identity first, but we are also still investigating the exact cause of death. There are enough indications to assume that this was a crime. All tips are of course very welcome."
