Teen caught driving 80 km/h over speed limit

A 16-year-old boy was caught speeding through Tilburg at 130 kilometers per hour on Tuesday. He was driving on a road with a speed limit of 50 km/h, Omroep Brabant reports.

The boy, too young to have a driver's license, was driving a van. The police gave chase and ordered the boy to stop. He ignored this, according to the broadcaster. The boy eventually stopped the van, got out and ran away.

A police officer caught up to the boy and arrested him. He can expect a hefty fine.
