ING names Vincent van den Boogert, 46, new Netherlands CEO
ING Netherlands announced its appointment of Vincent van den Boogert as its new CEO. He takes over for Nick Jue, who was named CEO of ING’s Germany operations, pending regulatory approval there.
Boogert, 46, is currently on the bank’s board, overseeing customer interfacing at the Dutch bank. He is a long-time veteran at the bank, having started there in 1995. He has worked for the bank in a variety of management roles in the Netherlands and Turkey.
“With 22 years’ service in ING, Vincent van den Boogert has a broad banking background and strong commercial experience,” said Koos Timmermans, Vice-Chairman Management Board Banking at ING. “His sound understanding of the Netherlands’ market and of our customers, as well as his drive and commitment to continually strive for excellence will be extremely important as we work towards our ambitions,” Timmermans said in a press release.
Jue was moved to Germany as part of a shakeup in management at ING last month. Jue landed the role of marketing boss for Postbank savings back in 1993 just after it was brought under the ING Group umbrella. The 52-year-old took over Dutch retail bank operations in 2007.
