Anne Frank House launches own Facebook chatbot
The Anne Frank House in Amsterdam launched its own Facebook Messenger chatbot. Users can ask the bot for information about the museum, such as opening times and where to buy tickets, or about Anne Frank herself and her history. According to Facebook, the Anne Frank House is one of the first museums to offer an interactive chatbot on Messenger, NU.nl reports.
The chatbot was launched during a Facebook event at the museum. It is already online.
According to Facebook, the chatbot is self-learning. The artificial intelligence used for the bot allows it to learn to recognized the context of questions and to generate specific answers based on that. Facebook started allowing developers to build chatbots for Messenger in April last year.
The Anne Frank chatbot was developed by msg.ai, a company specializing in bots for Facebook Messenger, Twitter, WhatsApp and other services.
