Amsterdam mom starts media offensive to get kidnapped toddler back

Nadia Rashid, mother of kidnapped 2-year-old Insiya Hemani, started an online petition in an effort to get her daughter back from India. She hopes the petition will persuade the Dutch government to increase their efforts and the Indian government to cooperate, RTL Nieuws reports.

The 2-year-old girl was violently abducted by several men from her grandmother's house in Amsterdam in September last year. Her father Shehzad Hemani is believed to be behind the abduction. Over the weekend another man connected to the abduction was arrested in Iran. That means that all suspects, except for Shehzad, are now in custody.

Nadia hasn't heard from her daughter since she was taken. "I don't know how she is and I haven't seen her all this time", Nadia said to the broadcaster. The petition can be signed here. So far over 10 thousand people signed.
