The police would only confirm that there was a suicide at the school. The school management could not yet be reached for comment.

According to Omroep Brabant, the teacher jumped at around 9:45 a.m. as students arrived at school. Eye witnesses told the Gelderlander that the teacher jumped from the fourth floor of the building.

The school as closed down to the public. Pupils are collected in the auditorium of the school, and a number of students were sent home.

After the incident the pupils were instructed to go into the classrooms and close the doors and blinds. But one student told the Gelderlander that this only made the students more curious and they watched from the windows.
