
Woman in custody for fatal fire in Drenthe home
A fire in a home on Streng in the Drenthe town of Emmer Compascuum left one of the residents dead on Tuesday. Anoter resident, a 53-year-old woman, was arrested for suspected involvement in the fire, NOS reports.
The arrested resident was injured in the fire and was first taken to hospital for treatment. A 29-year-old man who also lives in the home was also injured.
The residents of three surrounding homes had to be evacuated. The fire was extinguished and the police are now investigating in the home, according to the Telegraaf.
The identity of the person who died is still unclear.
