Explosion rocks Groningen apartment building

An explosion rocked an apartment building on West Indischekade in Groningen on Wednesday morning. The explosion happened in one of the apartments, GIC reports. The resident of that apartment was found in the basement. He was in a confused state. The fire department quickly extinguished the fire caused by the explosion. The police closed down the apartment as a crime scene. The resident was transferred to a care facility, where the police will question him when he is able to talk to them.
