Another terrorism suspect arrested in Rotterdam
The Rotterdam police arrested a Moroccan man suspected of having links with French terrorism suspect Anis B., the police announced on Monday. "The 26-year-old man was arrested last week and is in custody. He is a co-defendant in a case involving arms dealers from the region Rotterdam", a spokesperson said, the Telegraaf reports.
B. was arrested in an apartment on Burgemeester Meineszstraat in Rotterdam in March. Some 45 kilograms of ammunition was found in the apartment. Two months ago he was extradited to France, where he is suspected of planning terrorist attacks.
According to the police, the man arrested last week established contact of Antillean ammunition suppliers and French terrorists. "We hope to extend pre-trial custody to the pro forma session on November 1st. There everyone's roll should become clear", the police spokesperson said according to the newspaper.
Earlier this month two Antillean men from Vlaardingen and Rotterdam were arrested again in this case. They were previously released due to lack of evidence. But the Prosecutor believes it now has enough evidence to prove they supplied ammunition to Anis B.
