Transavia flight makes emergency landing at Schiphol
A Transavia Boeing 737 made an emergency landing at Schiphol on Wednesday afternoon. A so-called bird strike happened during the plane's takeoff from Rotterdam Airport, according to RTV Rijnmond. Transavia flight HV5021 was on the way from Rotterdam to Malaga in Spain. But while flying over Belgium, the decision was made to turn back and land at Schiphol. The bird strike caused enough damage that continuing was unsafe. The flight passengers were taken to their destination on a reserve plane.
