One hurt in Diemen shooting; 17-year-old suspect arrested

A 37-year-old man from Amsterdam was injured in the leg in a shooting on Wilehlminaplantsoen in Diemen early on Friday morning. A 17-year-old boy was arrested as suspect, the Telegraaf reports. The shooting happened around 1:25 a.m. Responding police officers found the wounded man in a car and transported him to the hospital. A suspect was quickly traced. According to AT5, a SWAT team raided his home on Gerardt Burgerhoutweg in Diemen and arrested him. The police believe that an argument in the relational sphere may be behind the shooting.
