Massive fire in Schrool dunes

A massive fire is raging in the dunes on Schrool on Monday afternoon, the local safety office announced on Twitter. The office advises people to stay out of the area due to large amounts of smoke. The fire department is responding to the area with five units, due to the strong wind, a spokesperson for the safety office said to ANP. There are several recreational areas in the neighborhood. According to the spokesperson, it is as yet unclear whether they will have to be evacuated. It is also unclear whether houses and other buildings are in danger.
