World's largest ship leaving Rotterdam port on Saturday
The Pioneering Spirit, the world's largest ship, is done and ready to go. The ship was assembled in the port of Rotterdam and will be leaving for tests at sea on Saturday, ANP reports.
The ship is intended for the removal of large gas- and oil platforms at sea. The first platform to be dismantled is the Yme platform on the North Sea.
The Pioneering Spirit spent a total of 1.5 years in Rotterdam. It was supposed to be ready for work last year already, but the assembly was delayed.
