Stuck employee dies in freezer unit
Update 9:45 a.m.: The victim is a 53-year-old man from Loon op Zand, Omroep Brabant reports. He was working with a forklift in one of the company's freezing units when he got stuck
An employee of Oerlemands Foods in Waalwijk died early on Thursday morning after getting stuck in a freezing unit. Colleagues found him around 5:00 a.m. this morning, NOS reports.
Emergency services responded en masse, but it was too late to save the man. No information about his identity was released. It is unclear how he got stuck in the unit.
Oerlemans Foods is based in Venlo, but also has a production plant on Zijlweg in Waalwijk.
