Google no longer violating Dutch privacy laws, authorities say
After years of squabbling and threats of fines, Google now complies with Dutch privacy laws, the Authority for Personal Data, previously known as the Data Protection Authority, said on Tuesday.
The Authority previously threatened Google with fines of 60 thousand euros per day, which could run up to a maximum of 15 million euros. Google promised improvement on its privacy policy.
And delivered it seems. According to the Authority, Google now "unambiguously" asks for consent from all users for the use of their personal data.
